Farming System for nutrition

FSN focuses on diversifying household food and diets for better nutrition and health by introducing production diversity. The thrust of the interventions was on increasing the area and availability of nutrient dense crops. Designing a nutrition sensitive farming system. Nutrition awareness & integrating nutritional dimension in farmer’s own farm.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sindhudurg in coordination with ICAR ATARI ZONE V, UNISEF, MCAER- Pune and Dr. M.S.Swaminathan research foundation Chennai has started farming system for nutrition Project in Talekhol village of Dodamarg block under this project to supply nutrition through farming distribution of plant and Vegetable Seedlings were done to selected 200 farm families plants like Cashew grafts, lemon and dragon fruit, poultry chicks were distributed to farm families.
